No, No, No Pinocchio returns to the Portland Puppet Museum’s Outdoor Garden Theatre! We have installed a delightful misting system in the garden for those hot days.
Tired of the recent dreary retellings of Pinocchio?
No, No, No, Pinocchio is a one-hour full length comedy marionette production designed over 25 years ago for the Portland and Seattle Italian Festivals, with a sophisticated script, dazzling marionettes, and the beautiful music of Rossini, conducted by Toscanini, all loosely based on Carlo Carlotti’s original script.
This show has delighted adults as well as children for its clever manipulations of the story, with the Blue Fairy being the GODMOTHER of Pinocchio as well as the charming and deadly Fem-Fatales of the Fox and Cat as they swindle Pinocchio and a puppeteer into buying Xerox Tickets to a Puppet Show. We will definitely keep you rolling in the isles the Italian way with this special performance! Family Show tickets are $15.00.
Adults Night Out Info
The evening starts at 7:30pm a short half-hour complimentary cocktail party, yes, the spirits will be flowing as our hostess Gwen Zellmer tantalizes your taste buds with homemade Hors d’oeuvres from her incredible kitchen. Tour the inside of the museum and view our current exhibit “Enchanting Fairy Tale and Television Puppets” then it is outside to the beautiful Outdoor Garden Theater for seating and the performance. So, if great music and comedy is your thing, come out and have a drink on us and check out this amazing hilarious show. Doors open at 7:15PM. Tickets are $25.00 per adult (ages 21+).
