The Enchanted Ring
“The Enchanted Ring” from the Olde World Puppet Theatre’s Tales of Belvuria children’s book series, comes to the Portland Puppet Museum as a delightful comedy for the entire family!
This live marionette Girl Power story focuses on Princess Kathryn’s ninth birthday party and all is going as planned. Things take a turn for the worse as Enchantra the Witch crashes on her vacuum cleaner while delivering a birthday gift.
Join us for a madcap adventure as Princess Kathryn dons a suit of armor, battles spooky spiders, rescues a fairy, charms a pixie pirate, and bedazzles a unicorn, all in a single afternoon.
Tickets are $15 per person, ages 3 and up. Doors open at 1:30 p.m. for seating.
The Mikado
Adults’ Night Out at the Portland Puppet Museum returns with a spoof of Gilbert and Sullivan’s “The Mikado.”
The evening begins with a half hour Wine and Cheese Tasting meet and greet, followed by a satire of this world-famous beloved operetta.
Our stage is set in a New and Used Kimono Factory, complete with a cast of Ping Pong the Panda and his panda friends all featured in the most famous roles… This is a story of young love, cougar love, government corruption, corporal punishment, and a tad bit of blood-thirsty-ness thrown in for good measure. Transforming sets, contemporary adult jokes, beautiful music and – yes – professional singing – all blend together seamlessly to take you on a magical journey into the gutters of Ancient Japan. So, if great music and comedy is your thing, come out and have a drink on us and check out this amazing hilarious show!
Doors open at 7:15p.m. Tickets are $25.00 each (adults only).
