Feather Dragon Puppets
Back by popular demand, soar through the skies with us as you create your very own mythical Chinese Feather Dragon. In this fun-filled creative workshop, you’ll learn all about the Jade Empress China’s first mythical dragon. Using magic markers in the colors of the rainbow, create the heads and tails of your dragon, then choose from many colorful feather boas and garlands to create the body of your very own unique dragon rod puppet. Cost is $25.00 per dragon, all materials included.
Deluxe Sock Puppets
You have seen these before! You and your children have played with these in the museum and during our live puppet shows, and now we present a brand new workshop: Build a Deluxe Sock Puppet of your own! Using new fluffy socks, fun foam, pipe cleaners, colored felt, plastic puppet eyes, glitter, glue, paint, fabrics, feathers, coat hanger wire, and various odds and ends, this deluxe workshop allows you and your kids to create your very own special puppet in just three hours. All materials are included as Steve Overton, John Rouse and Nina Oberlin, all professional puppeteers and puppet makers, take you on a grand adventure into the world of moving mouth puppets. These puppets are perfect for making YouTube or TikTok videos! You do know that the famous Kermit the Frog and Lamb Chop are sock puppets right? These puppets are perfect for children 5 yrs to adults. Registration is $45.00 per student.
