Rod or String Puppet Workshop

You have seen these before, you and your children have played with these in the museum and during our live puppet shows. Now you can build a rod or string puppet of your own! Using stuffies, dolls and various toys and fabrics this simple work shop for adult beginners and kids allows you to create your very own rod puppet in just an hour and a half to two hours. All materials are included as Steve and John take you on a grand adventure into the world of puppets on sticks. These puppets are perfect for children 5 years to adults.

Cost is $35 per student. Parents are welcome to us assist young kids. Adults will love to participate in this workshop as well!

Recycle Puppet Building Workshop

We help our students make puppets that they will take home, display proudly, and actually use! Even big people have fun in our classes. We never know what they will create…

Each four-hour session begins with the sometimes hard decision of what type of puppet to build. Students can choose to make a hand, rod, hopper, or marionette puppet from our extensive collection of “stuffed stuff” (washed and ready for their conversion.) They can even bring an old stuffed animal from home to convert to a working puppet! Parents are welcome to assist the smaller children in this creative fun memorable workshop.

Cost is $45.00 per student and includes all supplies needed.

Classes are limited to eight students each.
